Oxford Pharmascience, a London-based company which redevelops medicines, has appointed Anand Sharma as a non-executive director.
Sharma is currently a director of Growth Angle, a marketing and executive coaching consultancy company. He held various roles at Reckitt Benckiser between 2000 and 2016. He was most recently the Global Category Director for New Business Development at Reckitt Benckiser and played a significant leadership role in the acquisition and integration of Boots Healthcare UK, Adams Respiratory USA and Paras Labs India.
According to an official statement, Sharma has been working as an external consultant for Oxford Pharmascience for the past six months, advising the company on its commercialisation. “Sharma’s knowledge of the sector and awareness of the issues facing OTC healthcare brands will be of great help to the company as it looks to commercialise the OXPzeroTM (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) assets,” noted the firm’s non-executive chairman David Norwood.
Founded in 2008, Oxford Pharmascience commercialises its portfolio of product opportunities throughout licensing to leading pharmaceutical companies worldwide. Currently the firm has partnerships with Aché Laboratories and Bayer.
Oxford Pharmascience’s board of directors include Marcelo Bravo, Chris Hill, James White, John Goddard, Karl Robertson Van Horn, Norwood and Sharma.
